Come Learn Wood Carving

A large photo introduction to wood carving

Wood carving

We are fortunate in having a Master Carver in our midst, Richard Douglas. He has extensive knowledge of carving and has taught this group and many others the skills of wood carving. One picture to the right shows one of our senior carving members with a large sign he carved in oak for his house. There are more examples in our Gallery, do have a look at what we do.

The only requirements are interest, a willingness to try something new and we can help with the rest. It is a very friendly group always ready to help each other and Richard is always around with guidance. Most of the group members have started in the last 12 months, but already there are many skilled carvers at work. There is range of ages, skill levels and abilities so you will be among people just like yourself who also want carve. So give it a try, we are sure you will like it.

We have the wood and tools, all we need is you and your enthusiasm.

If you are intersted in wood carving use the the contact page or phone Richard on 07778 327545. Alternative come along in person on a Tuesday morning at 10.00 or a Wednesday evening at 7.00.
